In the lead up to the Plastics Recycling & Circularity Conference - Americas Edition, ICIS worked with community partner Neste to provide a free webinar session that ran on the 13th October.

The Webinar was seperate from the event, meaning anyone could attend. Although the Live webinar has passed, you can still view the recording of the session by following the link at the bottom of the page.

Speakers

Jeroen C Verhoeven - Vice President Production Partner Management, Neste

Jeroen is highly driven by the purpose of creating a healthier future for our children. With his team he builds strong partnerships and aligns value chains to bring sustainable solutions to the Chemicals and Polymers market and its downstream customers. Jeroen started his career at DSM and held several leadership positions at GE Bayer Silicones, Momentive and Hexion. Jeroen holds an MSc degree in Mechanical Engineering and Management Science and Graduated from the the executive Global ONEMBA.

Patrick KriegerSenior Director of Materials and Sustainability, Plastics Industry Association

He leads the association’s efforts in advocating for the growth of the plastics industry in a sustainable way by working with its Material Suppliers Council, Sustainability Advisory Board, and their associated groups. He works to promote the recycling of plastics through demand-side projects in the New End Market Opportunities program as well as advocating for policies that strengthen US mechanical and advanced recycling. He also manages the international plastic resin stewardship program, Operation Clean Sweep. He joined the PLASTICS in March 2015 and previously worked for the Animal Health Institute. He graduated from Texas A&M in 2007.

Doris DeGuzman - Senior Consultant, Tecnon OrbiChem

Doris joined Tecnon OrbiChem in March 2013 as a senior consultant covering chemicals and materials derived from renewable carbon. Doris is widely recognized as an initiator of green chemistry industry reporting, covering the sector for 20 years. She provides expert analysis on a wide range of pertinent subjects including oleochemicals, biopolymers, industrial biotechnology, biofuels and other renewable chemical products. Doris is also the founder and author of the Green Chemicals Blog, established since 2007.

In 2017, Doris also joined the Biopolymers Expert Group of Germany-based Nova Institute, which has been globally active in feedstock supply, techno-economic and environmental evaluation, market research, dissemination, project management and policy for a sustainable bio-based economy.

Doris holds a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Santo Tomas, Philippines.
